The motorcycles are almost ready to go one the first test run – Our good friend Douglas has been adjusting the carburetor to make sure that the motorcycles get the right amount of gas depending on the rpm. Waiting for a jet kit for my motorcycle to arrive by mail.
Esben…? – why is it taking so long to get the motorcycles ready? Since the motorcycles are not ready yet, I decided to look for alternative transportation for me and Esben… I really love how much stuff I can put on this model. It also comes with a battery and an electric motor, which will make it easier to do more miles per day. The big seat is so comfortable.
And for Esben – I can only say “GO GO GO”…
See how muck he likes it – I have never seen him smile that much while exercising.
Enough fun for now . Back at the cabin I have been sorting out our camping gear while the weather is good, and Esben is spending a lot of time in the garage with Douglas.
Right now it is over whelming to see all the stuff that has to go on the motorcycles. I just hope that we have enough room on the motorcycles – We are still working on our luggage possibilities on the motorcycles, and hopefully we can put all the luggage on the motorcycles for the first time this weekend. For more detailed information about our camping gear look under GEAR: CAMPING GEAR
I tried on my motorcycle clothes and made a more detailed description under GEAR: MOTORCYCLE CLOTHES
It is really hard to bee prepared for all kinds of weather and all kinds of temperature. I’m having a hard time riding for just a couple of hours if it is around freeze or below and for me there is a certain limit for how much clothes that I can put on and still bee able to move around on the motorcycle.
After all this I found out that we have four first aid kits laying around. It is important to update your first aid kit and to know what is in it. I found several items which had expired and items, which I couldn’t figure out what it was for. I put it the rest of the items out on the table – can you find one thing that stands out?
YES – the sparkplug . The sparkplug didn’t even fit on our motorcycles (Suzuki DRZ 400S), it was for a Honda 250… something. I found four different first aid kits. I decided to make one Emergency first aid kit, one daily first aid kit and one first aid kit supporting the Emergency first aid kit. Read my detailed description of the first aid kits: FIRST AID
Buy the way… I am allowed to go into the garage. Working on Esben’s side cases talking of stickers from our earlier adventure in USA and Canada. It made my think about all the good memories – but had to make more room for our future adventures.
In the upper left corner of the side case you can see a sticker with Devils Tower from Wyoming, it was one of the first places we visited in 2009 on our first adventure.
The side cases now have a map for travelling the world from HORIZONS UNLIMITED with space for new stickers.
